Important information for Rural Payments recipients: Publication of data - 2009 & 2010
EC Regulations (Commission Regulation (EC) 259/2008) as amended requires the UK to publish details of legal persons in receipt of Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) subsidy payments each year on a single website.
In accordance with the revised regulations CAP payment information relating to ‘natural’ persons (e.g. sole traders and partnerships/other groups without separate legal personality) will not be published.
The published data for 2009 and 2010 is now available on the Department for Food and Rural Affairs - Common Agricultural Policy Payments website (external link), and will hold the trading title, total value of payments for the year, local town and the first three or four digits of the recipient’s postcode.
‘Legal’ persons include:
- registered companies (i.e. private companies limited by shares or by guarantee, private unlimited companies and public limited companies)
- other corporations (e.g. bodies incorporated by statute or Royal Charter)
- partnerships with separate legal personality (i.e. Limited Liability Partnerships and partnerships under Scots law)
- Trusts/trustees
- groups/associations of legal persons (e.g. a joint venture) without separate legal personality.
